Chanel Ayan Drags Lisa Rinna for Shading Her Show in Controversial Instagram Post: Africa Wants ‘Their Lips Back’
Chanel Ayan, “The Real Housewives of Dubai” alum, criticised Lisa Rinna on Twitter for shading her show in a controversial Instagram post.
“Rinna Africa called and they want their lips back! Keep Dubai out of your mess and your mouth. Tune in next Wednesday 9pm for a brand new episode of #[email protected],” the model, 44, tweeted Thursday.
Ayan’s shady tweet was a response to plump-lipped Rinna, 58, who advised viewers to watch the most recent Bravo series, “RHODubai,” if Rinna’s show, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” triggers them.
“We fight on our show if we fight with Garcelle [Beauvais] we are all of a sudden called a racist,” Rinna wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story Thursday, referencing the first black “RHOBH” cast member.
“That’s bulls–t. I will not accept that. I will express myself when and how I want and I am not afraid of any of you hoes.”
Rinna continued her rant on her next slide, adding, “And if you are just so triggered by our show and a lot of you p–sies are Go watch Dubai.”
After she called out Rinna, two of Ayan’s co-stars also added their opinions.
“She does not want this heat, we’re not BH .. we will drag her from right up off that doctor’s table to the desert!” Lesa Milan replied to Ayan’s tweet, seemingly implying the “Days of Our Lives” alum has undergone plastic surgery.
Caroline Brooks added, “@lisarinna why did you mention our show in your post? What did you mean by ‘go watch Dubai’? hmmm #RHODubai#RHOBH.”
A number of fans roasted Rinna on social media for targeting the “RHODubai” cast, which consists mostly of women of color, in addition to the cast members themselves calling out the posts.
One user tweeted, “Lisa Rinna chose Dubai because she can defend herself since there’s one white girl on that show. She’s gonna play stupid and say ‘that’s not what I meant all of Dubai isn’t black’ but everyone knows what she meant.”
Another added, “What Lisa Rinna said today on her Instagram is a racist micro aggression ‘everything we say about Garcelle you black people call racist, go watch Dubai!’. She cannot be allowed to stay on the show after that kind of racial abuse. #RHOBH.”
A third user wrote, “Lisa Rinna going on Instagram to be rude to Garcelle and make light of racism accusations, and then delete her posts after dragging Dubai into it for no reason does not sit right.”
“I just know Lisa Rinna wanted to say go watch Atlanta but deleted it and put Dubai #RHOBH,” someone else chimed in, referring to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which has a largely black cast.
As per Pagesix, Rinna has yet to address her comments or the backlash.
The Real Housewives of Dubai airs on Bravo on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET, and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
