Congratulations seem to be in order for Wendy Williams, who has just announced her wedding.
On Tuesday afternoon, the talk show host told Jason Lee of some happy news (Aug. 2). Wendy revealed a few titbits, but she kept the facts cryptic, possibly saving them for her upcoming new podcast.
Henry is the name of Wendy’s new husband, a law enforcement official with the NYPD to be precise. She missed mentioning how they met or the date of their wedding, though.
Wendy Williams also disclosed that she continues to face financial difficulties. She added that although her Amex was no longer effective, one of her accounts was still open but thanks to the help of her friends.
She is trying to keep upbeat and optimistic, but she is having problems with her family. Jason Lee claims Wendy said she gave her team the order to keep her entire family away from her. Wendy Williams only wants to communicate with her son Kevin Hunter Jr., who is 21 years old.
In 2020, Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter, the producer of her tv show, reached a divorce agreement. The previous year, the couple separated after Hunter’s mistress Sharina Hudson gave birth to a daughter
Since “The Wendy Williams Show” officially ended on June 17 after 13 seasons, the media personality has been out of work. Despite saying she will return to her old show, she recently disclosed plans for a new podcast.
Shortly after the news broke, Wendy’s representative contacted the outlet to deny that his client was actually married.
Rep Will Selby said: “That’s inaccurate. She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation.”
When asked to clarify if Wendy was seeing a cop named Henry, he added: “Wendy doesn’t wish to disclose details at the moment.”
But in another twist, Wendy insisted she is married when Jason reached out to her to clarify what was going on.
She said in a call released on social media: “I’m married! I don’t care who knows it.”
