Johnny Depp was unrecognizable after shaving his signature beard and mustache for decades

After shaving off his famous beard, Johnny Depp is almost unrecognizable.

The 59-year-old Hollywood actor debuted his new clean-shaven look while on tour with his friend and award-winning musician Jeff Beck, following a show in New York City.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor looked noticeably different than he did in court a few months ago during his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Johnny is now shaved, after famously rocking his signature mustache and facial hair for decades.

Johnny was seen leaving his latest show in New York City wearing a blue striped baker boy hat and large blue-tinted sunglasses that covered most of his face.

Fans waiting outside to greet the Hollywood star could have been forgiven for mistaking him for someone else due to the drastic change in appearance his clean-shaved look has given him.

The actor signed autographs, chatted with fans, and smiled in photos as he posed with adoring fans who had waited in line for hours to meet him after his latest performance with music legend Jeff Beck.

His new look comes after it was revealed that the disturbing defamation trial between Johnny and Amber Heard is now the subject of a new film, which is set to be released in just a few weeks.

Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial will follow the tumultuous relationship between the Pirates of the Caribbean star and his ex-wife, both in and out of court.

On September 30, it will be available exclusively on the free Tubi streaming service.

The film stars Mark Hapka from Days of Our Lives as Depp and Megan Davis from American Horror Story as Heard. Marry Carrig will play Heard’s counsel Elaine Bredehoft, and Melissa Marty will play Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez.

In a statement, Adam Lewinson – Tubi’s chief content officer – said: “Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial has Hot Take in the title for a reason. “With our partners at MarVista, this Tubi Original was fast-tracked into production to capture a timely take on a story that became part of the cultural zeitgeist, painting a unique picture of what millions watched play out in the headline.
