Kyle Chrisley, the 34-year-old son of reality TV stars Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley, was arrested Saturday night in Tennessee following an incident in which he allegedly became violent with law enforcement officers and threatened to kill them.
According to a statement from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded after Kyle’s wife contacted dispatchers to report that her husband was “being belligerent” and walking down the middle of a two-lane road while she followed him in her vehicle.
“When attempting to speak with Mr. Chrisley, he became immediately aggressive, charged at deputies, and began to throw punches and assault deputies,” the sheriff’s office said. “After a physical altercation and deployment of OC Spray, Mr. Chrisley was taken into custody.”
An affidavit obtained by TMZ further alleges that Kyle’s wife told officers he was making suicidal and homicidal threats. Police claim Kyle refused to answer questions and punched three different deputies in the face during the encounter. According to the affidavit, he also told officers he “would kill all of them.”

Authorities said Kyle admitted to drinking roughly 64 ounces of beer earlier in the evening while out to dinner with his wife and appeared to be under the influence at the time of his arrest.
Court records show Kyle was charged with three counts of assault on a law officer, domestic violence, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He was also hit with three additional charges related to alleged retaliation for past actions.
This is not Kyle’s first run-in with law enforcement. In March 2023, he was arrested on an aggravated assault charge after allegedly waving a “fixed blade” during a confrontation with his boss. His wife, Ashleigh Chrisley, later denied those claims.
“Kyle has a knife that he carries for work, but he did not pull it out or brandish it, nor did he use it on the person,” she said at the time, calling the incident “a verbal disagreement” that escalated. She added, “Kyle has PTSD, so it was more self-defense on Kyle’s side.”

Kyle was also arrested in Oklahoma in May 2019 on drug possession charges. That same year, he faced allegations of making death threats toward a former partner, though those charges were later dropped.
Kyle has long had a strained relationship with his parents. Todd and Julie legally adopted Kyle’s daughter Chloe in 2016 due to his struggles with substance abuse. During an episode of “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” Todd revealed Kyle had attempted reconciliation while he was in prison.
“He apologized for his involvement [and] for the things he had done,” Todd said, adding that at the time, rebuilding their relationship “wasn’t possible.”
