Whoopi Goldberg snaps over guest host Lindsey Granger: “Can you answer my question?” says Whoopi summing Granger’s entire show on the panel

The View has been looking for a replacement for Meghan McCain, and they’ve finally found a way to butt heads with anyone. Lindsey Granger took it upon herself to bring as much controversy to the table as possible while stepping in on Wednesday’s show.

Granger steered the conversation away from Roe v. Wade and onto a criticism of President Joe Biden, much to the irritation of her cohosts, during a discussion about a leaked draft showing the Supreme Court would vote to abolish abortion rights.

Granger instantly launched into a speech on Biden’s “messaging problem” in answer to Whoopi Goldberg‘s question about who profits the most from the leaked document. After Granger warned the panel, “he’s failing miserably in the midterms,” Goldberg, looking puzzled, asked, “You think Biden did it?”

Granger replied, “No, Biden could use his executive order, he can use different powers, and that’s the same thing with this abortion issue because he can do anything, like end the filibuster. But why doesn’t Biden want to end the filibuster to push this through?”

She added, “Biden doesn’t want to look crazy and lose his election seat and know that he’s in the midterms and not having anything to run on.”

Sunny Hostin, who had been sitting quietly during Granger’s impassioned remarks, spoke forward to ask, “Biden can end the filibuster himself?” to which Granger answered with blind confidence, “Yeah, he can sign an executive order to end the filibuster. He actually can.” A clearly unconvinced Sunny only said back, “Huh.”

As Granger went on about Biden, Joy Behar cut in to ask, “What’s this got to do with the leak?” But Granger pushed on, nearly shouting, “I’m asking you, what is Biden standing for?” Exasperated, Goldberg shot back, “And I’m asking you, can you answer my question? Can you answer the question first?”

Granger recanted her statement against Biden after a commercial break, despite her refusal to concede she was wrong when questioned by Hostin.

“I wanted to clarify that Biden can’t single-handedly executive order to end the filibuster,” she said, in part.

As per Decider, Granger didn’t completely fit into McCain’s old seat until she got into an argument with Behar. During a discussion on Dave Chappelle being attacked onstage at the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival, Behar suggested that Trump’s fans committing acts of violence had contributed to the country’s general disarray in recent years. Granger disagreed, claiming that Chappelle’s attack was “not a political thing” in particular.

“I know you want to wrap it all into politics, but this is really about security,” she told Behar, who asked, “You don’t notice that there’s a certain amount of impulse control lacking in the population these days?”

“Who stormed the Capitol, do you remember that?” Behar snarled as Granger claimed the Chappelle incident was “a security issue,” not a political one.

The View is on ABC weekdays at 11/10c.
