Pop star Britney Spears has been arrested following months of public concern over her behavior and social media activity.
According to authorities, the singer was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol on Wednesday evening at around 9:30 pm on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Britney Spears was booked after the arrest and later released. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
The paperwork related to the arrest provides additional details about the booking process. On the official documents, the singer’s occupation is listed as “celebrity”. The same records show that Spears was formally booked into custody at 3 am on Thursday, according to TMZ.
The arrest comes during a period in which fans have increasingly voiced concern about Spears’ well-being. In recent months, the singer’s social media activity has frequently sparked debate and speculation among followers who have closely monitored her posts.

Adding to the concern, fans recently noticed that Spears has disabled her Instagram page. The account, which had served as one of the primary ways the singer communicated with the public, is currently unavailable.
Spears has often used the platform to share updates about her life, personal reflections, and videos with her followers. Because of this, the sudden disappearance of the account quickly drew attention from fans online.
While it remains unclear whether the account was removed by Spears herself or temporarily disabled for another reason, the timing has raised questions among supporters already worried about the star’s recent behavior.
Authorities have not publicly released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the DUI arrest.
Spears, one of the most recognizable figures in pop music, rose to global fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Over the years, her personal life has frequently drawn intense public attention alongside her music career.
Her upcoming court appearance on May 4 will determine how the DUI case proceeds. Spears has been released following the booking, and no further information has been provided about potential legal consequences connected to the arrest.
