Britney Spears’ mugshot will not be made public following her recent arrest for allegedly driving under the influence earlier this month.
According to reports, the booking photo of the “Toxic” singer does not meet the required conditions for public release by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. An official confirmed to TMZ on Tuesday that the department typically only releases mugshots connected to violent crimes or cases where a suspect poses a threat to the public.
Since Spears’ case does not fall into either category, the image will remain private.
The Princess of Pop, 44, was arrested in Ventura County, California, around 9:30 p.m. local time on March 4. Authorities say Spears was pulled over after California Highway Patrol officers noticed her BMW allegedly moving “erratically at a high rate of speed” on the freeway.

Following the traffic stop, Spears was taken into custody and booked at 3:02 a.m. She was released roughly three hours later.
Officers told Page Six that the Grammy-winning singer was believed to be under the influence of both drugs and alcohol at the time of the arrest. Spears reportedly underwent several field sobriety tests during the incident. However, the results of her chemical tests have not yet been released publicly.
Her arraignment has been scheduled for May 4, when the case will move forward in court.
The situation has drawn attention not only because of Spears’ global fame but also because of the reactions from people close to her. Her manager, Cade Hudson, addressed the arrest and described the incident as serious.
“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” Cade Hudson said.
“Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time,” he continued.

Sources also revealed that Spears was visibly emotional during the arrest. She was reportedly “crying and very tearful” and expressed concern about disappointing those around her, including her fans.
After being released, Spears reportedly had a “positive” and “hopeful” conversation with her mother, Lynne Spears, as well as her two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
Despite that supportive conversation, sources say the singer remains uneasy about the possibility of her father, Jamie Spears, reentering her life. Spears is reportedly “on edge” about that situation as the legal case continues to unfold.
