Nicki Minaj has gone after Don Lemon in her latest social media outburst. Minaj went after the ex-CNN journalist because of his recent coverage of an ICE protest in Minnesota. Lemon was in the state, livestreaming on his YouTube channel. This was after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Good.
People went inside a church during the demonstration to confront a pastor who was also said to be the head of an ICE field office. Lemon added on video, “They’ve stopped the service, and a lot of people have left.” This is clearly a surprise attempt, and the people here are not thrilled about it.
Many conservative politicians and media figures spoke out against this protest, saying that Lemon and the protesters were breaking the 1994 FACE Act (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances). This law makes it illegal to stop people from getting reproductive health care or practicing their religion at places of worship.
Minaj published a nasty post on X, which used to be called Twitter, and uploaded an image of a Chucky doll with the words “DON ‘C–K SUCKIN’ LEMON IS DISGUSTING. HOW DARE YOU? I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!” “He would never do that to any other religion. Lock him up!”
The rapper added another post to her social media rant, this time retweeting an inflammatory message that made fun of Lemon for being in an interracial marriage and for things he is said to have done. “LOCK HIM UP” was the last thing the post said.
“True or False? #ArrestDonLemon,” Minaj said in her own response. After Minaj’s online assault, Lemon spoke out to TMZ (via People) and said, “I’m not surprised Nicki Minaj doesn’t understand journalism and is getting involved in things that are too big for her.” But a “Pick Me” Doll would be a better picture for her article.
The Trinidad-born artist has been criticised lately for supporting Donald Trump. She appeared at the United Nations and praised the current president for dealing with the religious violence against Christians in Nigeria. Along with Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative Charlie Kirk, Minaj also appeared at AmericaFest, a Turning Point USA event.
Minaj remarked, “Boys, be boys… It’s okay to be boys… There’s nothing wrong with being a boy,” which many people thought was anti-transgender speech. Fans of the rapper have openly asked for Minaj to be sent back to Trinidad and Tobago, where she was born and lived until she was five.
